An integral part of Balaklava and its surrounding communities for over 130 years, Balaklava Primary School offers an up-to-date educational programme for its students. We are proudly servicing Reception to Year 7 students from farms and communities encompassing amongst others- Avon, Balaklava, Beaufort, Bowmans, Halbury, Hoyleton, Long Plains, Nantawarra, Pinery, Pt Parham, Children’s Beach, Whitwarta, and Wild Horse Plains.
As a South Australian Government School we manage a 12 strong bus fleet to transport our students living outside a 5-kilometre radius from the school.
Situated on 3.34 hectares of land and neighbouring the Balaklava High School, with the Balaklava Community Children’s Centre only a short walk away, our school is conveniently located close to the Balaklava business centre. Our close relationship with both the High School and Children’s Centre ensures comprehensive transition programmes for students as they either leave Pre-school or conversely commence secondary education. We also serve as a collection point for the Child Care Services offered by Balaklava Community Children's Centre.
The strength of our school lies primarily with our dedicated core of classroom and specialist teachers who offer a broad, balanced curriculum responsive to the individual learning needs of students.
